Gt hood scoop made functional?

I have the the regular v6 hood, and I want a gt hood scoop from stangmods.com. Could I make a cut out where the v6 vent thing is? And put the gt scoop on top? And will it be strong enough. And those with this hood scoop does the scoops mesh vent thing have holes all the way through where I could just put it on to keep junk from flying in? I hope I explain myself well...

Yeah you could totally cut that thing out. We're you wanting to hook it up to your intake?

No. Just for more cold air to come in right?

I wanna see what more people think. I'm not afraid to try new things. And I think this could be a good thing. Might just work.

On rainy days I'd just gorilla tape the whole. From the inside. And on the days that's great for cruising just open it up

Yeah I thought about doin the exact same thing. If you order that peace I bet you can fit some sort of mesh to keep it clean air and depending on how fine the mesh is the rain might get stopped there?
