Dam oil leak!

So when I washed my car and parked it in my garage I left it there for two days. When I took it out there were like 10-12 drops of oil in the floor. I left it there for two days. My uncle a mechanic looked at it and said it was the main seal. The part said is like 50 bucks but you have to take out or pull out the engine. Is this true? N he said labor would be like 500 bucks!! Help please!

It's the rear main seal of the engine. Not a easy job but don't believe engine has to be pulled.

Best thing to do. Look for someone who knows how to remove the engine and do it. Screw shops dude. I do all my work myself, bc its reward is cheaper cost, and more confident that I did it myself.

Pull flywheel and tranny. I do believe you can get to it with it in the car still. Not sure though

Yeah you might just have to drop your tranny and oil pan.

He said tht he thought he can pull back the tranny but he explained later tht he can't pull it back. He has to move the motor back. So dam if I decide to fix it it's 500 bucks and I'm currently selling it...
