Thinking of having a muffler shop custom fab a set of true duals side exhaust using the 44 series flowmaster mufflers. Any opinions needed. By true duals I mean no joint connection between them

your not gaining anything by doing "true duals". the two sides are joined together cause it helps with scavenging.. getting the exhaust out faster. in other words, one side helps the other get out..and so on..

did you ever wonder y u dont see "true" dual systems anymore? you get more efficiency and velocity with them tied together.

however, if thats wut u want...go for it. your not really hurtn anything either

Ive had this done on both of my old 3.8L mustangs (97 and an 01)

its pretty straight forward~ but dont let them cut the Y connection and just weld on true duals as you cant unbolt it to gain access to the trans etc... at that point you have to cut it off. Also, it needs to be 2.25 inch stainless pipe.

No balance pipe is needed for the V6

The hoops that go over the axle need to be as high and away from the axle as they can be so when you lower it the axle wont bump the exhaust, just fyi for future plans.

they may tell you they cant do it due to the fuel lines are to close.... GT's do it all the time! same setup.

The tips need to angle UP a bit.... level with the ground makes them visually look pointed DOWN which looks bad.
