Oil change

I'm doing my first oil change on my 2001 v6 tomorrow. What oil do you recommend I get and what filter?

Every now and again I throw some Lucas oil treatment in there. Actually, just found out today that you can throw sea foam into your motor oil. Read on the back of the can and says use half the can for 5 quarts. We will see if it helps

Yeah royal purple is great stuff too. When you change your oil you should run some sea foam through it too. Get it all cleaned out and fresh.

You can actually pour this stuff into your gas, motor oil and into pump it straight through your intake. Its supposed to break down build up and sludge in you engine, intake and cylinder heads and your fuel system. So if you'd like you can get one can and pour half into your motor and run the rest thru your intake.

Re: Oil change

the drain plug is supposed to have a 15mm head on it (i work in quicklube) lol and the size of the oil filter may vary depending on what kind is on there. usually a medium sized strap wrench will be it.
