well we just taped the edges out that we didnt want painted. opened the trunk so we wouldnt paint the lights too. cleaned it off a bit, taped the gt and ford emblem carefully and started painting it. gave it like 4 coats and let it dry a bit after each coat

Re: plasti dip

just as horse described, is how i did it as well. peel the tape off somewhat fast, and you dont need to wait as long between coats as you do with normal spray paint, but dont go too fast or it will glob up...

I did my old rims last year, it holds up fine, and if it wears out, peel it off and start over....

hell I even painted my grill with it....
More uses for Plasti Dip

It hold up great. We started using it on my friends brand new 07 350z in 07 lol. He then took of the dip from his stock rims in 10. Best product bar none since we've been using it for 5 years now

Don't do that, if ANYTHING VHT nightshade them. The light can't go through plasti dip so you essentially won't have headlights lol

Take your time with it. I personally don't like stripes on a mustang, I like em sleek and clean.

Hard to tell the color of your Stang on my iPhone app. Is it blue or black? I'd say do white stripes if it's blue or red if it's black!
