Painting the stang again.

I just had my car painted idk last July I think. I had it paint the same color (cx mineral grey) but now I want to change it. I've accumulated some scratches and chips and that just won't work for me. I'm thinking like a blue, not too dark, but not like the sonic or bab. I'm thinking I'll spray the top the same cx grey, and do the bottom (door and fender lines down) the blue. I just need some input, there are too many mustangs in my grey around here and I don't want it to blend in to the crowd. Any pics of two tone new edges would be welcome.

Here's some scratches and chips that are driving me up the wall.

Or even a good darkish blue, two tone is an option but I'm not set on it yet.

I'm leaning towards the Duplicolor Paint Shop: Deep Blue metallic for the base and spray a standard clear over that.

My son is going to start driving next year. I'm going to give him this one and buy a 2013 GT vert. I just want this one to look good. I had a crap first car and don't want him to have one. That and with a unique paint job, its easier for friends and family to notice his car when he's driving, I don't want him to blend in if you know what I mean.

That is the scheme, I don't care for the colors but I showed it to my son. He likes red, so maybe a grey top and red bottom.

BE CAREFUL WITH THESE COLORS! I understand if you want your friends to know what your son drives... but you don't want the cops to know! Lol that is why I sold that car... too loud and too flashy. I got a 2012 grabber blue and they haven't bothered my at all! Cops really do like red! And my 2012 is faster and more powerful!

The ppl that painted that are good! Check out their work www.kclcreations.com

Yeah and when a kid gets his first car he has fun with it lol. That's why my parents got me a truck til I was old enough to think and care about cops knowing me an gettin a ticket. Last thing you need is your son standing out, doing something wrong lol.

Yes agreed that cops love Aka hate red cars. My first car was a white 88 chevy beretta gtu and I was definatly a speed demon and never got pulled over once even passed cops going well over the speed limit.. Soon as I got the lazer red I got pulled over two weeks later. Now I can't even drive through my moms town. Once they tried to give me a ticket for speeding while my car was parked in my driveway..lol stay away from red

I think there is nothing that looks cleaner than white or silver/grey.

i just had my cobra painted a redish orange about a week ago, goes good with my tan interior. Its a bmw color. I'm diggin it. Way better than the oxidizing laser red...

Also, That laser red stayed under the radar for some reason... never had much trouble with the law.

I think its an age profile thing too.

I've got pulled over like 5 time in 2 years 4 times I talk my way out of a ticket , most the time I just ask the cop if I was the one really speeding or is it that I'm a 17 year old driving a nice car.

Yeah, thinking back when i was younger cops used to pull me over like crazy. I don't know what has changed but its very rare now.

Nice! Do you know what bmw color it is? Maybe a paint code? My friend has a red '95 we're wanting to paint.

Yeah it's called "bright red rouge" and the paint code is 74194.

It's really weird. Sometimes it looks ferrari red, sometimes in the right light it looks like a hot rod orange, it is one of those colors that kinda changes to the eye in different lighting.
