Re: Are throttle bodys good

Well I'd say they're good as they allow air into the engine...

Alright enough of being a smartazz

I personally don't think an aftermarket t/b is worth the price on a stock/bolt ons v6.

I'm sure you'll see some gains after a tune, but not enough to justify the $259+.

Save the cash and buy some gears/tlok

Yeah plus if you're not stroked or boosted, a bigger throttle body won't really do much

Yeah to me a spacer just makes it a further distance for the air to get to the cylinders

I have a 1" tornado airaid spacer on my stang. It's red and it looks good in the engine. It's been there for 2 yrs. I didn't noticed any gains maybe just a lil, but it gave me these loud blower sound, lol!! It wistles! all my friends thought i have a supercharger. Hahaha! Pair it with a bbk cai and you will have these very loud wistle while driving on the road.

Re: Are throttle bodys good

Yah the "science" behind the t/b spacer is that a vortex air charge is created and is pushed into the engine...from what I've heard they don't too much.

Keep in mind that some CAI's won't fit with the spacer on...I found this out when my buddy and I tried putting a CAI on his GT...the car had a spacer when he bought it and we ended up taking the spacer off for the CAI to fit if that tells you anything lol.

Re: Are throttle bodys good

For a tb to do anything u would need to hav bigger air intake and plenum or itd be pointless, and i havnt been able to find a bigger plenum for our year v6 anyways.

I love my FIPK K&N cold air intake. It's awesome and so is the tune. Bigger filter an easier to get to.
