AM computer chip for 2000 v6 any good?

I saw a computer chip for a 2000 v6 a bama 3 bank eliminator chip. Is it any good does it increase power. And also besides cleaning it and plugging it in is there anything else you need to do to get the power. One more thing my Stang is California emissions will that affect anything

I had a problem with mine not working correctly and felt 0 gains. And made my anti-theft mess up, actually made the car shut down twice on me. I recleaned and installed it 3 times and i feel no differences. I've just unhooked it and I'm going to get the wireless iPhone tuner or a handheld tuner because I know for sure those work.
I hope this helped u in deciding.
And when u get a chip u have to send it back to bama everytime u get a new mod to keep the tune up to date with the wireless or handheld u just down load it from ur email after u email them what u added etc.

Bama makes great tunes, but with out a cold air intake or some other mods u may feel 15hp/15tq which isn't bad.
The chip and tuner r kinda the same but ones a tuner that u hold the other is one that is always plugged into ur computer.
I'd say get the tuner.
Always a good starting mod, or, if you don't wanna go fast or lose has mileage.
Just get some exterior mods.
All depends on what ur plans r.

Well I'm still in highschool and money is tight for me like everyone else and the chip is slightly cheaper I think and it's a daily driver so 15 HP and 15 TQ would make me flip!

Keep in mind that dyno run was using the 93 octane race tune so the 87 street tune most likely won't net those gains.

I'd also imagine those gains were throughout the powerband, so you don't see 10hp and 10tq right away and throughout the entire powerband.
