Lookin good! The pony is a personal preference..I like some type of emblem to be there as without it looks bare or like something's missing.

Pull one off a 94-98 at a junk yard, I put the one from my 94 on 03 when I took out the honeycomb while waiting for my delete to get in.

Re: Mach 1 grill delete

most have the wrong or missing radiator cover part, its the black plastic part that the pony bolts through to the headlight alignment panel.

The wrong one does not wrap around the top and leaves a gap, the correct one fixes this. Its a cheap part but requires the bumper to slide off to install it. Dont miss this part!

notice the edge right below the hood, see there is no gap, it wraps around compare to yours

Will the hood not close right if you don't get the 3rd piece, I think it's the frame?

No the hood will close fine without it.

I originally bought the 2 piece kit. It had the filler panel that sits on the bumper and the floating pony...it looked good but you could see the frame and the holes...just looked unifinished without the 3rd piece.

So I ordered the 3rd piece...frame cover. It simply attaches behind the pony and filler panel and looks way better.

This is for a v6/GT bumper, not sure how fitment and styles are on the cobra bumpers, I know they are different.

Went ahead an put the frame on the grille to fill in the gap. I don't too much care about the pony, got the Mach 1 chin spoiler. Installing it in a few days
