1995 V6 Mustang, transmission

1995 V6 Base model. Transmission putts. V6 manual transmission. Have had this car for about 4 months had no problem out of it until now. Transmission putts. Back fires a little when revved up. Transmission shakes a little going into 1st and reverse. The clutch has no change. I don't know what the problem is.

Re: 1995 V6 Mustang, transmission

I put my phone beside the shifter and recorded it. I've never heard it too but that's what it's doing.

IDK I'm at a loss for words. Does it sound like something grabbing and releasing?

Re: 1995 V6 Mustang, transmission

I have no idea, I've read so much trying to find the problem and all I get is squealing and grinding. It sounds nothing like that. Before this started happening there's a pipe that splits in two and runs from the water pump to the firewall. I've been told its the heater core, and to the radiator thermostat. There was 2 small wholes in the pipe where water ran out of. All of this happened at the same time

I can send you the recording of the sound I I can

A exhaust leak will sound like that. That's a better judgment than a tranny problem.

Check the donut gaskets at the manifolds. Also check the converters for holes.

I believe they are in between the catpipe and the manifold. Lol I don't even know if mine are on my car... No wonder my exhaust leaks lol
