exhaust loudness?

I just bought a Mustang and it came with dual flowmasters but I want to make it louder but not spend too much money. Any suggestions?

Re: exhaust loudness?

My offroad pipe on my 2011 GT was only $300 shipped and I installed it myself. Can't imagine it would be too much on the new edge. Check out latemodelrestoration.com, americanmuscle.com and lethalperformance.com, There are lots of other websites as well

U may be able to find a used one for like 80 bucks...

I'd buy a new one though. depending on the brand they can get up there in price..

Also, just my opinion. But flowmasters sound like garbage with the o/r pipes.

If i were you i'd eitherrr just buy a pair of slp 1 resonators and swap em with the flow masters.

Or, buy an o/r Pipe and get some spintechs.

Found this..

Oh whoops, thought u had an eight. I know nothing about sound for those 6's..

But i think you got a head start being you have the true duels goin.

Check out youtube vids and search the other forumz cuz there is tons of info on this topic

Good luck.

Dude, check this one out. V6 with true duels, off road H pipe with flowmaster 40s.. Sounds pretty beefy.

Re: exhaust loudness?

Do your flowmasters exit at the bumper with tips? You could dump the exhaust under the car before the axle or after to make it deeper and louder...

The other option is an off road midpipe but that might make it too loud for your taste, and honestly a super loud v6 isn't always better. After 2500 rpms the tone gets too high pitched imo and an off road pipe just makes that whiney pitch worse.

That does sound good for a V6...id probably opt away from flows though as I bet that car drones bad...but a good sounding setup none the less..

Re: exhaust loudness?

From my experience biggger piping always helps the loudness factor, and it should be relatively cheap if your using the same mufflers and cats and what not.
