best exhaust for 00 v6

I need help in what I should do for my exhaust. I'm thinking if replacing the whole thing from the headers. Any ideas as to what would give it a good muscle car sound and increase performance?

2.25 or 2.5 piping is general rule. H pipe will give it a lower grumble, maybe an extra hp or two. Otherwise you can run divorced duals as its an even firing engine and doesnt really need a midpipe except for sound.

Oh and an X pipe will do the same thing as an H, but give it more of a raspier tone.

Will the different size pipes make any difference? And I was wanting to go with the H pipe I just didn't know the difference between the X and H.

Your pipe size is based on where you want the main horsepower increase. Bigger pipe benefits higher rpm, smaller pipe benefits lower rpm. The 2 1/2 is basically the best mid range size, so like for aggressive daily drivers.

Shortys are more for top end and lt's are more for torque.

I wanna make my 6er look like the cobra, so I'll customize the side skirts to fit the side exhaust.

So I got the back cats cut off and a flow master wielded in place of the stock muffler. Sounds SOOOOO much better, plus it pulls harder thu the rpm. Didnt cost too much but well worth it
