Cant stop abusing my car.

Today I was driving 70 mph down an overpass, and I dropped down to second gear. My whole car shifted to the right-screatched tires-radio cut out for a split second- and went back to normal. What happened here?

Think I learned no more manually shifting my automatic

You put some hurtin on your engine & tranny dropping it to 2 at 70mph. Just learn your shifting at lower speeds and work your way up.

Lol been there bro. Most likely your car killed itself for a second. I believe these cars have a safety in the auto that kills the engine if it feels any stress it shouldn't. I once accidentally dropped my car in reverse coming off a ramp from the highway when I tried to put it in neutral to roll. Rear tires locked up for a second then car completely shut off... I dropped it to neutral a split second after and started it back up and drove away. Scared the s*** out of me.

Yeah I dropped a car into park while driving and the motor just shut down so there might of been some drivetrain stress but if it's not drivin funny then you should be in the clear

Damn son...putting the hurt on that poor car lol.

My advice is just leave it in D...your car will thank you and so will your wallet down the road.

Driving like nothing happened. This car won't die. Lots of respect. May not be a 9 second car but I did a lot of rough things to it and this thing is just tough. Takes a lot to blow a trany id know. I blew my stock one up into peices. I won't be rough with it anymore it needs to last till I know what to do with it.

The local generic "drive in and get your oil changed in 6 minutes" place here asked me if I wanted a power steering system flush?

Would that, plus a good dose of Lucas power steering conditioner/sealer help with the noise? It is indeed embarrassing as hell driving through a parking lot!

My car turns heads, but it's not the sexy exhaust tone they are looking at... it's the whine from the power steering!
