I need to stay off AM.

He last month I've order
New front bumper
Gt rear bumper
New side scoops
Quarter window covers
Smoked fog lights with brightest bulbs they had for the new front end
And today I ordered Mach 1 chin spoiler
Then I get a new paint job in a week or two. Excited but my pocket is now empty.

If the blackout kit has the fake hood pins.. I wouldn't. Pointless.

I don't like drilling into my car though, I would be the one to mess it up, but they look awesome.

If that's the case, get them and have the body shop install them before they spray it.

I'm gonna see how my car looks with all the other exterior mods first, hoods pins maybe too much. I do want a shorty antenna though.

Re: I need to stay off AM.

While hood pins do look kinda cool I would only install them if my hood was an aftermarket that required them.

Back in 1983 I had a '68 Chevelle SS right after high school and it had hood pins. There were scratches all around the chrome plate that screws to the hood. The lanyards would rub all over the paint when I was on the highway. If I made them short enough not to rub the top of the hood, they would rub the leading edge of the hood above the headlights and grill. I was a no-win situation. I was losing paint at an astonishing rate.

I sure hope they make things better now than they did almost 30 years ago...

I'm old...
