He is custom fabbing everything and nothing from me is supplied, maybe I can get 450 out of him.
There is another exhaust shop down the road I'll hit up later they weren't open today. and Midas is suppose to call me Monday with an estimate.

Had a guy quote me 350 for supplies and labor. Cutting the y pipe into an h pipe, he recommended single chamber mufflers over flowmasters, and 3 inch chrome tips i believe

Good luck. The 44s I got were 100 apiece at advanced auto, found a guy on eBay to give me a nice deal on two of them. Only problem is waiting for the free shipping, lol. Two weeks about. I'm not in any rush though, but I know sometimes people are.

If he would have said 350-400 I would have had him do it today but 500 seemed damn high

I'm running true duals though, no middle pipes, that may be the difference in price now that I think about it

Re: Quote on exhasut to much?

I got my mufflers (original flow 40's) for 100 bucks on ebay, two tips for 20 bucks each and then the shop only charged me 280 to run divorced duals from the cats back.

$500 doesn't seem to bad to me if he is supplying all the parts as well and fabricating it

Just be sure he did a good job before you pay him. I paid a shop 600 to cat my old gt to pass smog and added some hi flo cats. It sounded great and it wouldn't hit as many bumps. But as soon as I drove it with someone in the back seat and i hit a little bump it would grind with the drive shaft. I ended up just letting it go though since I was going to sell it. But I did learn my lesson. Lol.

Re: Quote on exhasut to much?

Nah, that sounds right. I paid $600 for less, though I'm in CT and sh*t is expensive here. Subtract off his cost for the materials from that $500 and divide the balance by the average labor rate in your area and it'll probably work out to somewhere around 2.5-3 hours, which is fair.
