Car dies

Ok so my gf's car will randomly shut down. Yesterday we hit a bump (a good one, but not like a ditch or anything lol) and it died completely. Ac, radio, engine, EVERYTHING died lol. We pulled over put in park an it started right back up. Any ideas??

Re: Car dies

alternator? Battery wouldn't do anything i don't think, since it's used as a source of power for your car to start up.

You should check your terminal leads and all your ground wires

Your batt. light would be on if it was your alternator

Do our mustangs have those fuel shut offs at the fuel pump? Some cars have them in case you get in accidents it shuts the car off. Idk if we do or not.

Inerta switch shuts off the fuel pump only. Check your battery cables at all points. I'd suspect the ends at the starter if everything went dead inside the car.
