Re: Help Help Help....mustang

I can't really tell but it appears to be some sort of pressure line, like maybe power steering or auto trans. would I be correct in assuming that is from underneath the car under the driver's side wheel well?

Re: Help Help Help....mustang

Almost seems like a transmission cooling line. When you say it doesn't start, does it even turn over? are you still getting power to your gauges? what does or does not happen when you try to start it? did anything leak out of that line?

Re: Help Help Help....mustang

kinda sounds like something electrical which could really be anyones guess. I would get that line hooked back up but I don't think that's what causing it to not start.

you need to trace it down and find out what the other end connects to. that will help figure out where to connect that side.

Have you started the car and ran it since you replaced the fuel pump?

Fuel lines, kinda looks like a fuel pressure regulator but that would be an odd spot to have one

Well it's gotta be some where in that general area so just keep looking around in there until you find it.

If that was a return line there would be fuel everywhere when the car is running

Feed and return come from the tank. Follow it from there.

i dont know what yours looks like. but most of the time the lines will run side by side from the tank. i believe the return will come from the fuel rail somewhere on the intake. but i cant be certain cause i have never worked on that motor.

You're still stuck on this? And the car won't start? Pay to have it towed and fixed, it'll take them a few hours!

Sorry to tell you bud but its pretty hard to tell where that goes without us physically looking for it. You may need to start taking off parts that are easy to remove like air box etc. Then maybe you will have a better view to find what it foes to.

Are you getting any codes? That may help to find the problem. Is everything that requires vacuum working? Like brakes, heater vents etc?
