How about the installation? How hard is it or do we really need to pay a shop to do the job? How much including the installation and how long will it take to install it? So 400 for comp cam kit? That means that includes everything for the cam + installation?

Nope that's just the kit .. I do all my mechanic work myself installing a cam ain't hella hard but it is if u have no engine knowledge even if you don't u got to start somewhere .. Installation really depends on shop rate where your from 2-4 hour job look it up on YouTube and watch some vids see if your up for the job

Oh i see. Thanks for the info! But please tell me is it worth it? and how much hp should i expect just for that cam? And no dyno tune required after installation? I only have the handheld tuner.

Re: Anyone cam there car

the benefits of the camshaft all depend on the other mods you have. You can't think of mods as +10 +12 + 13 to get you a total of +35... and engine doesn't work like that. Everything work together as a system. Lets say if you had only replaced your intake manifolds for P&P ones. That may result in 5 hp, but now lets say you swap out your heads and cam as well, you now are getting an additional 30hp because the intakes allow the cam and heads to suck in more air into the chambers. So the combination will get you 35hp. But if you go back to stock intakes, you're gonna lose maybe 10hp because you're restricting the amount of air the heads and cam can suck into the chamber. Understand?
