98 mustang auto shifter

K so i have a 98 mustang and i wanted to change the shifter knob to a aftermarket one and when i did the overdrive wires broke and now my blinkers dont work at all but my hazards do. What should i do??

Damn bro that's a seriously bad problem I think lol. Maybe call a mechanic and see what options. I heard one guy broke some wires and had to require the whole car.. Hopefully doesn't happen to you.

Check your fuses before anything. Underneath the steering column, 15amp.

Yah definitely check the fuses before consulting a mechanic and getting charged for an hour's labor. I believe on the 99-04 cars it's fuse #28, not sure if the fuse layout is the same for the 94-98's though.

I completely overhauled my auto shifter a year ago. I relocated my o/d button and when I took it off my stock shifter I popped the wires out too. They didn't break but I did have to do some modifying for them to work with the new on/off switch.
