Headlight bulbs

What kind of bulbs are you using guys? I am now looking for the most brightest bulb in the market but not an HID. Just a bright bulb for a stock smoked headlight casing. I saw these sylvania ultra and sylvania zxe, are they really bright? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Re: Headlight bulbs

Your not going to get that much brighter by just changing bulbs in your stock housing. If you want bright go HID.

Re: Headlight bulbs

The brightest/whitest halogen bulb you can get is the Sylvania ZxE bulbs. The best, period.

I ordered some PIAA bulbs from summit. They are pretty bright but the temp is 4100k idk what tfe ZXE ones are. Just check the operating temp. The higher the number generally means brighter the bulb. Till you get up passed the 6000k(HIDs) then the color changes.

Re: Headlight bulbs

DON'T GET THESE:

When I ordered my new chrome headlights a few weeks ago (right after I got my car painted) I also purchased Sylvania Silverstar 9007 Light Bulbs 9007ST BP2 - Free Shipping! to go along with them since I had a $100 off coupon to use...

They are indeed bright, but not nearly as bright as I expected. A little brighter than the blueish ones that came installed in the headlights. I compared them side by side and calculated the increased brightness to be worth about $2.13, not $39.99.

As for how WHITE they are..... Compared to the pre-installed blue ones, I would have to say these are actually closer to yellow.

For $39.99 I expected.... brighter and whiter I suppose... I DO NOT recommend these bulbs if you want BRIGHT and WHITE.
