So I went and looked at this vette this weekend. Horrible. My 99 3.8 beat it, first of all. Second, it's 3 different colors. Third, huge gaps between all the panels. Fourth, idk, I'm sure there's a fourth.

It did have some nice looking aftermarket rims. Also had a sick braking setup. If it weren't fit those two things it would only be worth about a grand. No trade today.

And now my dogs babysitter wants to trade me her 98 convertible gt for my car. I'll be checking that out when I get back home from myrtle beach.

Not many mods, I just got my hands on it. Cold air, headers, tuner, dual flow 44s. The gt is a 98, older style. Prolly why I'm getting trade offers. Again, we will see next week.

I bet ur v6 will beat the 98gt, 94-98's were so weak even the gt's.

Naturally weak of course, they can be made fast tho

Sounds dope. Had a 00 V6 after having a 98 GT....looked way better but I missed the 4.6

Well that's the first thing we are gonna do is make sure the gt is faster than my little six.

94-98 aren't mustang 2 status, but I think there were some pretty significant improvements made is 99. I love the look of my car (especially the spoiler I like how it drives. It's comfortable. But power is a very big factor. If I could get a 100 horse gain by trading, then I will consider it.

Not saying they are II status, but they aren't comparable to 99-04 stock vs stock. Not sayin they aren't quick, just really underpowered when compared.

I get what you're saying and don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to do battle, just debating.

I guess what im trying to get across is my opinion that it's just the progression in factory hp and part of that time. They should've added more hp with the new 4.6 to compensate for the extra weight but didnt-oh well. 215-225hp isn't "shat my pants" worthy but I wouldn't put money on a 6 beating that 8.

98gt weighs about 200lbs more than the 99 v6 also tho. With the mods he has, I bet he could take it if not beat it. The split port instead of single was a huge thing, and was a great thing. Just sucks all of that is lost within a range of 1 year.

With the mods he has, he just might versus that year bone stock GT. The comment that i'm speaking on was that "94-98s were so weak, even the GT's".

Lol ok, i'll leave it at that. I tried to youtube some drag proof on the matter though.....closest was a stock 98 GT vs 07 V6 with a magnaflow exhaust so if you/anyone else can, please help. I'll keep an eye out on the streets and at street nights.
