Wow, tough question. Car is used for what? Getting an upgrade kit from Ford Racing is fantastic, very safe, quick stops.

I did summit as well for the price you can't beat it. Plus it's cross drilled and slotted, just like ones that cost three times as much!

Re: New Front Brake pads and rotors?

Sorry, I have a 1999 V6 Convertible. Just a daily driver, I just picked it up on Friday and have a little shimmy in the front when I hit the brakes.

Thanks
Ed

Get Jhooks! Those things look so sweet, and i hear their great at keeping heat down which you wont really need because its just a daily driver, but they look sweet!

They are dimpled . You see the slightly larger drilling on the drill entry holes? They do that to prevent the drill holes from cracking, it's called dimpling

Re: New Front Brake pads and rotors?

that's is the first time i have heard that. I thought you were talking about dimpled rotors that look like they have cross drilled marks. EBC sells rotors like that

slotted and dimpled rotor

Lol! Nope, they do that because after they created cross-drilled rotors they noticed that the stress from heat and wear was causing the drilled holes to crack and so they dimpled the holes.

I guess it depends on the brand or company who make the rotors. I normally run Stillen. I am pretty sure they were not dimpled but its been a while. I have ran with that brand crossed drilled rotors for years and have never had an issue with cracking.
