VAP Auto - Windstar Kit

I have one of these kits installed. LOVE IT!

You can piece everything together yourself and build your own brackets.... or buy a kit that includes everything you need.

Re: Windstar intake??

Its the upper intake manifold off of the windstar vans that ford made. You can expect mild inprvoement gains, the website claims 10 rwhp and around 20 ft/lbs of torque without a tune.

Im saving up 500, they give you a core back for your throttle body, (and I'm gonna see if supersix will take my old manifold for a core even if I don't buy their products ) and if you dont upgrade to the 65mm throttle body with the kit I think it runs like 380 or something, but I'm definitely getting the 65mm throttle with mine.

They are a lot. Since your a kid, I would definitely go with a 80$ CAI they are a good way to know your car. Wind stars are better but are a lot of money. And making bracket and bending stuff could get weird if you don't know why your doing.. I have a CAI, love the sound of it. Coupled with the tuner I just received, it makes your ride very fun to drive to say the least! Huge difference!

A CAI isn't even comparable to the windstar? It's prety much 2 completely different things,

---------- Post added at 10:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:45 AM ----------

They prety much come with a CAI anyway, and a 65mm throttle body, which is $200 anyway, and the upper intake manifold,

I was just throwing a easy, good first mod to make you feel good about your car, and feel connected with it!

Easy on the "kid" stuff there. Age really doesnt play apart into anything about cars except possibly money.

It sounded like money was his reasoning for suggesting the $80 intake over the $400 windstar kit.

+1 for the comment though

+1 I was talkin about money.. Most kids can't pull 400$ out of their ***. 80$ is a lot easier.

You don't even know how long I've been saving for mine, feels like forever, I've put used lowering springs, DIY cold air intake, replaced my own clutch and other odds and ends in my car in the mean time, but I can't wait to do this for real. But I'm sure once my mom sees my bank account take that big of a hit she won't be very happy hahaha
