8 inch antenna

I'm looking to get rid of my stock antenna and going to an 8in or 14in. Does anyone know which of these two is best to go with? Thanks

I'm going to buy a kit that mounts inside to the front or back glass that deletes the antenna all together for like 50 bucks

Re: 8 inch antenna

I have a 14" on my V6... it lines up with the roof line nearly perfectly. My Cobra has an 8"... and it looks good too... both seem to get the same reception, so it's all a matter of how short you want it to look on your car...

Re: 8 inch antenna

Reception was definitely my biggest concern. I'm going with the 8 in. Thanks for all of the responses!

Re: 8 inch antenna

reception is much worse, but it looks a lot better! I have 8" and live in Chicago burbs with a lot of strong radio stations and it is hard to listen to the radio, I have an ipod fm adapter and even that is not consistent.. the cd player thankfully works, but even 6 cds get old very fast, need to replace my stereo and get one with ipod hookup, or hard drive..

on occasion I hear about reception, but I've had no issues. All stations come in clear for me.
