yes they plug in to original harnes they used high bean + and ground - to power the ballast that turns on the hid buld, and there is a buld that comes with both hid and a small buld that making ur low bean as hid and high bean the small buld, but they dont really last long the small buld end up burning out in a couple days , and brands there is a few so not sure wich one is best , but hids very eazy to installed

Try googling bi-xenon 2007 hid conversion kits for 98 mustang. That should bring up a few thousand results; look for the slim ballast ones. Canbus circuitry helps in the ballast as well. Amazon is a good source of what's out there, and they have realistic reviews too!

Sorry for the bad info. I gave you! Should have said 9007 bulb, still look for Bi -xenon HID kits though. Read as many reviews as you can on whatever kind you choose and good luck!!

Re: 98 mustang hid questions

Just be careful with cheap kits, you will be disappointed & pissed if they flicker. With HID's you get what you pay for every time. Also, pick a color. 4300K is white, 6000K is slight blue, the higher the number the closer to purple you get and the less light output.
