First you look at the descriptions given for the three made for your car at compcams and then compare suggestions. Lastly call them and they will walk you through the choices and why, just for your car. No guesswork left, cuse they'll send you what you need. No more, no less.

only thing im affraid of is even though they are the same price, that they open and close and different times, and i want to be able to get the one that will give me the sound im looking for. there is a couple guys on here with real good sounding v6's. that the minute u start it up, it sits and sounds like a suped up v8, but from a v6. yeah i know it wont last long once u start driving but i want people to second guess them selves hahahahaha, is that a v8 or a v6 kinda of stumped look on their faces.

Supersix
CompCams
Tom Morana Racing
All 3 very good.
If you go with Supersix it's all custom grinds not an off the shelf grind. Call them tell them what you have done to ur car, your performance goals, and what you want an they will set you up.

As for the cam just be careful get too big of a cam and you'll need to modify the bottom end of the engine to keep the pistons from slapping the valves...

well right now, the exhuast that i have is stock headers, stock cats, h-pipe, 2 40 series flowmaster mufflers, sobbasically a tru dual exhaust. but what sux the most is the exhuast place cut the flange off the h-pipe, so if i get long tube headers then i will have to have the end cut off and needs to be welded. but would it be beneficial to go catless? or keep the cats just get o/r ones?

Get LTs and have a shop cut down the h to a shorty mid. Keep the cats, maybe do hi-flows. With out cats the exhaust is way to loud and gets very ricey

SuperSix offers a cam specifically for people who don't have a ton of mods, but are looking for that lope at idle.
I believe it's a 218/226 duration with a .500 lift.
You will need new valve springs and a tune, but that's about it.

Well the biggest thing is to get a cam that fits your needs...if you simply want a cam for sound, get that type of cam profile. If you're looking for a cam that makes power in relation to FI, you need a cam for that application.
Expect to see ~10rwhp with a cam alone. Doesn't seem like much, but if you include new heads and intakes the gains will increase.
Your best bet is to contact the professionals at the company you're interested in buying a cam from. They will explain the applications they offer and what will best work for you.

Yah that's the one I was thinking of...it's profiled for serious lope. Those mods you have are fine for that cam..it's made for stock/near stock cars.
You will need new valve springs and a tune after the new cam.

well tom from ssm said new valves are required, cuz stock ones are too short for this type of cam. i need a tuner kit regardless, cuz i need to remap my puter for what i already have, gotta squeeze all available power out of it as i can.

Cool, I've been thinking about doing this cam as well next summer. Mainly for the lope at idle, but the gains from the cam never hurt.
I'm not sure how in depth Bama at American Muscle will go as far as engine mods like cams, heads etc. I know they tune for bolt ons, but engine work might not be something they tune for all the time. You may want to call them and speak to a Bama tech about tuning with a new cam.
Some other tuners like VMP Tuning do more in depth customized tuning for the v6's. You don't get free tunes for life but the tunes are damn good.

On a GT polished and ported stage 3 heads would cost u almost 2k.
U can get a cam, upper/lower, and heads for a little over 2k.
