Power steering hose replacement

Hello all,on my 2000v6, the two power steering hoses from the fluid reservoir collided with each other because it was lacking a rubber fitting between the two. A piece of the metal tubes connected to the hoses fractured causing a massive leak. Iv gone through my fifth bottle of power steering fluid to get through the week and I need help on how to remove the power steering hoses. Any feedback helps. Pictures are awesome too. Thanks

Never replaced the hoses but I have replaced a steering rack. The lines simply screw onto the rack so I would assume its the same at the pump

Re: Power steering hose replacement

Something sound weirtd here... i've replaced my hoses and I'm just confused on how they could collide with each other.... Please post a pic of what you're talking about, then i can help you. But just as Lowflyn said, the high pressure tube just screws into the reservoir and rack. the other should be the return line which is just clamped on the bottom to the reservoir.

The return lune and the high pressure tube(I'm guessing those are the two tubes attached to the resovier ) are dangling close together and the metal ends hit making one spray everytime I turn the wheel. I will beable to post pics tomorrow
