Got my 5 speed V6 for 4800 bone stock. 5750 sounds about right with all the extras. Maybe a little high but not much

I just wanted an honest opinion from a fellow owner. Anything in particular I should look for to be wrong with the car. Also forgot to mention it has a short throw and stage 2 clutch

Then yeah that sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I'd just check out the fluids and stuff and make sure they all look good. Test drive it obviously haha. And check the ground underneath where it's usually parked to see if it's leaking anything. Other than that it's all cosmetic and what you think is worth it

Yea I'm test driving it tomorrow morning to my mechanics shop and he going to put it on the lift so I can check it out. Exterior whise the car is immaculate. Not a scratch dent or rust spot anywhere on the car. Interior is also very clean. I'm pyched I can't wait to get it. Ever since I got my 2000 v6 auto I've been dying for a nicer 5 spd. Deff posting pics when I get it

Yeah my first was a red v6 5 speed and I totaled it about three months ago. Swerved off the side of the road while on my way home from work in the rain. Saved up and got my new blue one about 3 weeks ago. Luckily I had a good amount of money in the bank already

I'm pretty sure this car has shorty headers on it. How can you tell the difference from headers to manifolds. And I also think this car is lowered alittle. Its sits a bit lower than my 2000 v6 and all the springs look new. Red in color.

Re: new car!!!! is it worth it?? opinions please.

Mine has between 2-3 inch drop, and red springs if that helps. And about the headers, im not 100% sure to tell the truth, im new to this still. I took mine to a shop to have two of the cats taken off and asked how much to put on some headers and he took one look and said you already have em.

I feel tht 5700 is too much for a 6 with over 100k. I sold my v6 with 130k for 4500 but it was super loaded with everything.

Re: new car!!!! is it worth it?? opinions please.

I got mine last June, all stock, 120k, immaculate in every respect except that the seat is worn out and it had almost invisible hail damage to the roof. It had a new OEM clutch installed before I bought it.

They were asking $6,000 but I paid $4600 after I pointed out the hail damage. For South Dakota that was a really great price. If I was in Dallas or L.A. it would be too much.

Prices vary wildly depending on what part of the country you are in... I bet I could have gotten a really decent GT for that amount of money if I had gone shopping in Miami or Denver....

Been lookin at mustangs for my gf and even 5750 is high. Those mods mean nothing to most people, so they shouldn't mean anything to you. Asking 7 is insane unless it has 50k miles lmao.

It all depends on where in the country you are. I would Kelly blue book the value for your zip code since some places they go for under 4500 and others you can't find one for less than 5

That's too much for a v6. You better off buying a gt. you won't regret spending a little more

Price is too high out here in west Texas. I just bought a 99 gt for 2500 last week, I would never pay that much for a v6

Gas mileage is a poor excuse. My GT gets 28 mpg. Why is location a reason to over pay? Where are you?

sounds like you have a good gameplan, seems like a decent/not amazing deal, i am guessing you have checked what they are going for locally via craigs or auto trader?

If uve got your mind made up that's fine I guess. But the differences in fuel economy and insurance will be less than 30/ month I bet. When I had my v6 I thought it was a fine little car... but then I got my gt and had a chance to really push it and learn how to drive a car on the edge. Prepared me well for my mach 1 which I drive year round in the canadian winter. Loosing the rear end ar 70 is a task I would not put to someone who has never had to ballance a car on limits like that before. I would seriously look at exactly what your cost differences would be. Resale is a big thing too. I paid 7 for my 96 gt 6 years ago. Sold it for 7 six months ago. Oh and my gt got better mileage than my 6.
