CAI or Short Throw Shifter?
Can't decide on which, even though the shifter will have more use since I'm stock.

Yeah I was gonna tune when I install the GT rear end cuz I'm gonna change the rear end gears to a 3.73. That's after the dual exhaust of course. Then imma start working on the forged internals... but I should probably do a split port swap before the internals so I get +40rwhp right off the bat.

I have a 98, so I only have single port heads. The 99-04 have the split port. I'm stock at 150hp, they're stock at 190-195hp. You only have to change the heads, intake, and fuel rail.

Yah definitely get the shifter...the very, very slight gains you get from CAI don't outweigh the improved shifts of the short throw shifter.

Km98stanh I'd definitely go with the shifter....the feel is lot better s for the 3.73 rear end you could go to American muscle get a limited slip diff then get the 4.10 gears just a thought for you give you some more acceleration for you..they also offer a speedo recalibration tool as well

I can't wait to have 2 tires spinning instead of 1. I'll definitely need the speedo recalibration for that rear and my 235 tires.

Sounds like its gonna be a pretty badass set up. I'm going to go with a whole drivetrain replace stage 2 clutch, alum flywheel, alum driveshaft, t-lok diff., 4.10 gears and then 235's as well..I wish I could find a GT rear end but parts are pretty hard to find here

Or, they have a junk yard here, any engine $200 rear ends $100. That's fort cheap compared to $400-$600 on eBay.
