Always thought oversteer was fun untill...

I always loved the oversteer on my car, sliding around corners is so fun, but last night, while doing 45-50 on a main road I got cut off by a guy doing about 20, I swerved around him and started sliding, I counter steered as much as possible, ended up prety much drifting between cars in trafic, until I spun around and slammed the back of my car into a guardrail, all this goin on down a bridge. So now I need a new tail light, trunk lid, bumper, and hopefully I can get the 3 inch deep indentation out of my rear quarter

Well, since it's that damaged, you have to cut one out of the donor car, cut out his quarter panel, then weld a new one in... Kinda expensive to be honest.

Yeah, there's no "fixing" that one.

Well I found a trunk lid and bumper for 120 on Craigslist, so I lucked out there. But I'm hopeing that it can be pulled. But I'm not sure since its double walled, :/

Re: Always thought oversteer was fun untill...

I repeat... you cannot fix that quarter panel. You will have to cut it out and a new one will have to be welded into place. It isn't a "hope I can pull it" issue... there is no pulling it. Any shop that is worth their salt will tell you instantly that that quarter panel is done. If it were a smooth surface that just happened to be dimpled, it might be able to be pulled. There are complex curves (see fender) that are mushed. Those can't simply be pulled.

Go to a junkyard with a sawzall an get to work. As its been said already you will have to have a new quarter welded in. It's not too terrible price wise.

Re: Always thought oversteer was fun untill...

My quote was $3000 for rear quarter panel repair/paint. It still has the dents.
