Ordered chin spoiler :)

Just ordered chin spoiler and chrome inserts for the rear bumper! Can't wait to put them on. Does anyone know how easy it is to put them on?

---------- Post added at 12:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:41 PM ----------

Next I want a grill delete and hood scoop

its pretty simple. i havent instaled my chin spoiler yet but i already have it. just gota up the car from the front and leave it on stands. tap up the chin to ur liking, then start drilling it where the pre-made holes are on the chin. theres a video somewhere on utube of the instal i think. and the letters are easy to stick on just have patience and make sure u get all the air bubbles out. and the grille is a must for the good look. u should also look into getting some new wheels to make ur stang look perfect

Put mine on the other day, make sure you don't drill to far, I accidentally did on one hole can thru the top, good thing I had some black filling laying around and filled the hole, need to paint it and it would match again. I'm a little short on one side compared to the other, doesn't really bother me, no one is gonna really compare it by walking around my car to see it. It's only an inch short.
Some places the nuts are hard to get on the bolts, I went up with the bolts so they were hidden, and some it was impossible, so I had a few body push pins, the black things that just push in, you know what I'm talking about, and just pushed them in. The packaging from AM on that spoiler is sh*tty to be honest. It's kinda bent do let it set in your garage in the heat for a day or two to reform up. Other than that, I love walking out and seeing it, gives the front end a nice aggressive look.

Re: Ordered chin spoiler :)

When I received my chin spoiler from AM it was wadded up like a softball.... I unrolled it and let it sit in the garage for a few days hoping that the wrinkles would come out. Now, a year later, I can still see the crease in the plastic right below the license plate. It never recovered from the shipping trauma. It looks stupid, but at the same time it looks 100 times better than it looked without it. Especially since I repainted my car.

Same hear mine was bent into thirds, ****ty packaging, low quality packaging, I expect better from AM. Way Better.
I have a wave in mine but it's noticable unless I get low and look across it

Get it, just let it set in the garage for a few days to help take shape again

Has anyone tried to heat it up with a hair dryer or anything to help it get back to shape quicker?

What I did was just let it sit out in the sun at first for a few hours then take a heat gun or hair dryer to it and it helps it flex back to normal. As for installing, I did it simple by pulling up into my garage and put the front wheels right where the garage pavement begins (lifted area) and crawled right on under.

Re: Ordered chin spoiler :)

well worth the 60 i paid from AM,, needs to regain shape after being folded in the box. be patient and let it warm up. Install is pretty easy,,line it up, duct tape to car, drill into pre drilled spots, viola you got a nice new look, they have video on AM also on install.

I like this one because they ship it in a large box so it is not bent at all, looks to be higher quality, agree?? This store sells great hard to find parts & pieces.

While it does look higher quality, and it is OEM Mach 1 Ford Equipment, it costs $140 more than the AM sale price plus you have to buy a $10 installation kit.
