a/c help!

OK so here is the deal.
-last summer we added some r134 to the system and it got cooler but not freezing cold. Winter didn't need it so I didn't really care. Now that summer is coming it is hot as hell in my car.
-when the car idles, the compressor goes on high cycles frequently
-it blows some cool air but by no means is it cold

What in the world do I do or look for?

coolant level if it wasnt leaking should be good if it was filled less than a year ago. a shop will gladly fill it for you but if the issue isnt fixed it will be the same problem next year

Ok wat you have to do is vacuum out the system then put the feon in because it won't get really cold with air in the system if your gonna bring it to a shop tell them to put dye in it for you so if you have a leak you can find it

The last time I went to the shop they said ie was leaking because my hood liner was stained when I know in fact that the stain was made back when the AC was working

Or a uv light. Like a black light will pick it up. And have the engine running and ac on when you check.

There is also a can of freon with a yellow dye in it. We sell it at our parts store just don't know the name. Its how I found my AC leak. No glasses on lights needed.
