Rear End Bind

I just p/u an 02' v6.When I take a turn(LEFT ECSPECIALY) it has a vicious "clunk" and wants to bind up! Is yhis a common issue? Ive had clutch probs in the limited before and changed the fluid, put additive in and done a ton of figure 8s! It did work, but I wanted to know has anyone had a similer prob??

Re: Rear End Bind

if its an open diff 7.5" rear end then it could be a spider gear going bad or broke so when you turn its clunking.

If it suspension related check your lca/uca bushings see if they are worn out etc.

could also be the driveshaft clunking/bumping up on the transmission if the rear end shifts to far forward (bushings worn out as well here)
