Flowmaster Super 40's or full catback?

I'm trying to figure out what type of exhaust will sound the best for my 2004 3.9 liter mustang. Some people said I should just get 2 flowmaster super 40 mufflers and take it to an exhaust shop and have them custom make the rest but others said I should get a full catback. Thankyou so much. Any information is appreciated.

Re: Flowmaster Super 40's or full catback?

I bought to 40 series off ebay and took to my exhaust man. He actually had some GT tailpipes and welded them all up for a good price. I also had a MAC H-pipe, thus it sounds much better than the stock cat pipe. Just a thought

Same here, had the local shop cut the Y pipe out and ran true duals with flow 40's
