Turn Signals Not Working

My turn signals on my 97 Mustang don't want to work. They work only when they want to. When I drive I sometimes hear like springs going off in my combination switch so I think it might be the combination switch. (Note: my hazard lights work perfect but the turn signals dont.( As all us mustang owners know, the turn signal switch is connected to the hazard light switch. So if the turns don't work and the hazard does, might it be that part of the switch that's broken? )) I might also think it's the alternator not giving enough power??

Sounds like a bad multifunction switch.

Im pretty sure it might be a bad combination switch. I went to autozone and an employee said that if the switch isn't working and the hazard light switch is then fir sure it's the combination switch.

Check your headlight switch. The switch could be bad or sometimes the harness gets hot and the pins do not stay seated correctly.

Look at your fuse box under the steering wheel and on top of the fuse box, there is a yellow box (you can't miss it!) *it looks like a relay, and that is your flasher*the yellow box* after market flashers are black so it doesnt matter if it's not yellow.

I could be wrong... But from what I've heard, fast blinking turn signals are caused by either bulbs that are about to go bad or the flasher itself.

He said hazards work but turn signals don't. Not that they were flashing fast but yes you are correct, if a bulb goes out it flashes twice as fast for the one that still works

Oh....... Lol my bad! Didn't read it right.

Then my guess would be loose wire connection? I'd check those...maybe the wires are the only problem....
