What do you think about electric waterpumps on a DD?

In the past week or so my water pump started going out on my car. I haven't been able to drive much and after this ticket process I should be down for awhile. So I have time to save easily.

I was looking at moranav6racing last night and saw he offered electric pumps. Advertised 10-15 gain for $350 bucks. Seems like a nice little trick mod to do.

But are they ok on a car that could be taken on 13hr+ trips once a year? Also the whole different sized belt thing is on my mind. Where would I find a site that offers custom sized drivebelts? I already have Underdrive Crank and Alternator pulleys.

IMO, It's not worth it.Electric pumps are great for race cars but I wouldn't put one on a daily driver.Sizing a belt is not that tough but the practicality of it all... Again IMO

not worth it on a DD car at all, that seems to be a track only mod.

Guy I work with has one on his LT1 'vette daily driver. Don't know if it gained him any horses, or not. GMHTP gained a few horses with one on their LS1 Trans Am. I wouldn't have any worries about running one, but I don't know if it's really worth it if you're doing it for horsepower gains.
