8.8 rear end distance 04 Mustang

Anyone know the Flange to Flange distance for a 94-98 Mustang 8.8???
How about for a 99-04??? I'm told the 99-04 is longer.
How do you tell the difference between an 8.8 & a 7.5 Rear end?
How can you tell if a rear end is posi ?
Just bought a rear end & want to make sure it's right before rebuilding it.

Take a look at the tag
If not..the 7.5 has flat tops and bottoms of the center section
yes 99-04 is longer than 79-98

all the 8.8's will be posi rears, the 99-04 8.8's are .75" longer on each side than the older 94-98's
