Junkyard parts

Hey guys!
I got some interior parts for my baby yesterday and saw that my friend was pulling off some suspension pieces from some ford wagon escorts to be used on his 2 door escort. (larger sway bar etc) I was wondering if there were any parts I could pull off other ford cars that would fit mine that would be an upgrade or something?

Thanks!

Windstar air intakes seem to be popular for 6 cylinder mustangs

If I can find any wind stars I'll see what I do, aluminum driveshaft? That seems like a lot of work

Just keep in mind you need or either buy or make many parts for the swap that are not taken off of the van.

They stopped making the Aerostar around that time and went to the wind star as the sole minivan. However I would take the intake off the wind star since it has the same 3.8 V6

For the wind star intake, I would need both the upper and lower intake, correct?

If your going with the 96-98 windstar manifold you only need the upper intake manifold.

^^ and you would be wrong

The windstar manifold that is used for swapping onto split port motors comes from 96-98 vans.

I'm assuming you have a 98?

If so you cannot do a windstar swap without changing the heads, lower intake and basically the whole top end. ( split port swap)

Yea I have a 98. That's why I don't want to do it because of the amount of parts that have to be changed

Sweet so if I found a 96-98 wind star then I would just have to pull off the upper manifold? Or both the upper and lower?

The upper is the only part that you need from the van. Unless you want to keep your egr in that case you would also need the egr bracket off of the van

But getting the intake manifold is the super easy part. The manifold still has to be modified to work and you either have to buy a few more parts and things or make them to run the windstar.
