I also don't see how you could spend $220 for a cold air intake when for around the same price you could buy a used vap kit or make your own windstar swap again actually gain some tq and hp

Man I would've totally jump on this if it was legal here in Cali.

Sad truth is... CAIs really don't do anything for the V6 engine other than making it look like it actually adds significant amount of power.... May it be the cheapest eBay ones or the infamous K&N intake. You gotta go the whole nine yards to play....

Re: got my cold air on

1st:
K&N intake, is a nice short ram HOT AIR intake. You can do the same thing with your stock intake and a filter from autozone.

2nd:
the 50$/75$ ebay/AM cold air intakes that draw COOLER AIR from the fender are the way to go.

3rd:
its not like your going to gain anything over a horsepower with a CAI its just a good looks mod.

If you watch the videos on American muscle the cheap intake gives you nearly 20 hp over stock when coupled with a tune

You don't understand the marketing world.... No it won't give you 20hp over stock on a 94-04 v6 mustang. You may get close on a 2005 but I would say 10-12 would be closer, maybe on the 3.7L 4v v6.

Re: got my cold air on

I have the cheap AM one, and also the one that came with my VAP Windstar kit. I swap parts around so I have 2 of them (neither are sexy lookin). In the winter I use a short one so air is drawn in from the engine compartment, and in the summer I use the long one so the air comes from inside the front fender.

Works for me... and it was CHEAP!

Good I. It's nice to extra parts you can just switch around if you want, but I think I'm goin turbo and will just utilize my AM intake.
