Well I dont have an aftermarket exhaust but i took out a couple of civics and an eclipse and the local dragstrip the other day. With subframe connectors, a CAI, and a limited slip differential.

I took the flows of my stang when I first got it..never been much a fan of them,BUT after hearing dreamstangs 10 series (with trick flow heads and intake) I do like the way his sounds...of course I had 40 series with all stock heads and intake..I like my single chamber bullit insynerators..

Re: racing

Bassani borla and most others are an acquired taste on sixers, kinda like the single chamber mufflers some run, it's hard to make them sound right

Re: racing

As far as exhaust is concerned, it's just a matter of personal opinion.

You can say one persons setup sounds like crap while the man next to you may think it sounds like music. Does that make you right? Nope... you may just be as tone deaf as me.

So, with that said, THE ONLY ONE IT MATTERS TO IS THE ONE THAT OWNS THE CAR!

Why is it always the guy with a popsicle colored car that wants to talk smack? Really, why? My 11' 3.7 def does not sound like a ricer but your ride sure as hell looks like one. I know you have a Type R sticker somewhere on there.

And BTW, your V8 came from the factory with just about as much hp as my 6.

Yes but the torque curve is much different...

It really takes a chambered muffler to sound right on a v6. The best sounding setup on my old car was true duals into a mach1 catback.
Then I took the mufflers out and put flowtech afterburners in. next was the o/r x pipe... That setup sounded like a dying cat but it was loud...

Nice how you jumped in V6 mustang forum to call it a ricer and put it down. Now everyone should be nice my ***.

No, the 6 will never sound as nice as your 8 but that doesnt mean that after market exhaust on it sounds like a ricer. Mine sure doesn't. I have heard a few 99-04 v6 that sound pretty good.

And BTW, Lambo Orange? Lol. Hate to break this to you, when painted on a mustang it becomes just regular *** orange. I bet you have "Lambo" orange lights under the car too. Point is, your ride looks more ricer than the one you were trashing. I don't want to trash everyone with multi tone paint, just yours, no good. I have seen many Honda Civics with your paint scheme, even with Lambo Doors too. Might as well call it Vtec Orange. I hate when people rice out their V8's. You know the saying, if you live in a glass house.......

Hahaha. Interesting read thus far!.. Ya with the right mods you can make anything fast!.. And with the right exhaust you can make even a V6 Mustang sound really BA!!... I have a buddy that has a 2000 Mustang V6, built motor with a turbo!.. Car sounds like it has a NASCAR motor in it!.. Lol. And personally I love the way it sounds even more than my own V8!..

That was your original post above in the V6 forum. You dissed everyone with a v6 and compared it to what mustang owners hate most. You were the one talking the trash. You expected everyone to laydown and take that......

Watch it guys, posting opinions can get dangerous...might get an infraction.

This is the v6 forum, if you don't like v6 cars go post elsewhere.

We need to stay on topic. Racing stock v6 mustang are dogs. Tuner, gears and practice will make it something for ricers to fear lol

MattyP you have a big advantage. Parts for your car are affordable. You should be able to build it up pretty quickly.

2011. You can turbo charge yours for under $1k, maybe even cheaper.

There no car you can turbo for less then a 1000. Parts alone cost more then that

I seen but also you need a 8.8 rear end plus gauges and a tune it is more then what people think. A turbo build is a project it is cool and can make power but to build it right needs planning, time and money.

---------- Post added at 12:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:59 AM ----------

Also he got his parts at a junkyard there no way of knowing how long the parts will work. The best is to spend the money and build it right. Getting a 2.3 turbo is a way to start but you need more then just that

Well you can start out small. Like I'm gonna go the turbo route and start buy droppin in a 2.3 turbo. It's not gonna turn my car into a cobra killer or anything but it's a start and it is safe to put it on a stock motor. Plus the stock drivetrain could handle that. There is a fellow pony boy on the forum who did this mod for around $500 thru salvage yards and such. If you want and all out high performance turbo set up, yeah you'll be spending around 2k.

---------- Post added at 12:11 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ----------

Lol nvm mind what I just said. I didn't see you added to your post. sorry.
