Question speed sensor problems help!

i bought a 98 v6 mustang a while ago
and the speedometer doesn't work they said i have to plug the the speed sensor back in to the transmission so i tried and when i took off the speed odometer worked but was way off it said it i was going about 140 when i was barely in second gear which i know couldn't be right lol

later i found out that my transmission was swapped out with a transmission from a 2000 or 1999 v6 mustang and my motor is a 98 v6 and the sensor plugs don't match... what can i do?

any suggestions on what i can do? and any suggestions on what would be the cheapest solution? i just want my speed otometer to work
