Is it normal for my car to ideal at 1500 RPM's when I first start it?

Re: high RPM's?

yep...just two bolts and unplug the sensor...you can spray it out to clean it with the same spray cleaner for MAF sensors.

I had to make a custom gasket for my IAC valve to get it to idle right. Before it would idle around 1000 and the rpms wouldn't drop when the clutch was engaged. After the gasket it idles around 600 and drops instantly between sifts making it easier to slam gears.

You can disconnect the negative side of the battery too,,after cleaning it,,this will reset the baro reading in the maf..Alot of times they can get stuck at one baro reading ..If its a low reading you can get pinging problems,,to high can cause rich condition problems..
