Squeaky clutch

Hey guys I noticed a squeaky noise sounds like its a belt or something, but when I press the clutch in a little it goes away. Any idea how to eliminate the sound for good? Thanks

Yea i have a 99 sixxer with 75000 miles on it and my clutch has a whining noise to it too, I've done some research and asked my uncle who's a mechanic and from my understanding it's the throw out bearing, and to fix that you might as well replace the whole clutch. I'm gonna do that really soon cause that noise pisses me off a lot every time I shift hahaa

Re: Squeaky clutch

It is the throwout bearing, you might want to replace that soon, the noise is only going to get worse.

My clutch squeaks as well but only when my clutch pedal is fully up. If I put any amount of pressure on the pedal it goes away. And it's most noticeable in when not in gear and quiets up when you rev the engine. And also I revved my car the other day at a stop light with my friends and when I got into higher Rpms my speedometer jumped up to 10-15 mph and then dropped back to zero and I wasnt moving at all... Ie ne'er heard of this happening...any help?

Re: Squeaky clutch

FYI- FRPP TOB-The link shows it listed as 94-04 V8, but the throw out bearing does fit the V6. I verified it first by calling AM and then Ford Racing.
