Newbie

Hey everyone I am new to this. I have a 1999 mustang v6 I have some pics up of it. The only thing not in there are the hood pins I recently added.(they really look good) but I am looking for advice on what else to do to the car. I was thinking of in a couple years to switch the engine with a v8

lol yeah i don't like those either but as long as you do that's what matters. i only wish those projectors had the light output i like and came in better designs...i've been thinking about a retrofit project, but gotta buy a few things before that

lol the bulbs are all in one...so if your high beams didn't work it wasn't the headlights. it's probably in the headlight switch itself. projectors are wired weird so i can see how it'd bypass that issue. as for having high beams..i haven't used a high beam since 2006 lol

So does that make them brighter? Is it a simple switch or do you need something to like amp the voltage to the wire lights

you just uninstall the factory bulbs...put in the HID bulbs & then plug in the ballasts...of course sadly with your current housings it's a bad idea to upgrade to them

lol of course they're illegal, but why should that stop you? do you have tinted windows? ever thought about a catless exhaust? most mods aren't legal in one sense or another, but cops don't bother with the little things like HIDs especially if you don't drive around acting like an ***

lol being pulled over is all part of it...the last time i was pulled over was in the GT. two squad cars got me for leaving a red light a bit too hard lol...the illegal things i had at the time (about 11pm)

5% tint side & rear windows
blacked out tails
HIDs turned on
no cats and it was loud
most of my plate covered by a frame

none of the officers mentioned anything on the illegal mods, just told me to be safer when i take off and not to spin my tires like that again yay warnings

lol here if you're not doing 90 you're gonna get run over...most State Troopers here won't bother you unless you're triple digit and weaving...but 80-90 is normal

Thanks! The Mach1's came with shaker hoods stock. An ode to the original Mach1 from the late 60's and early 70's. I believe AmericanMuscle.com has shaker hood kits, but I'm not sure how much $.

Lol with enough cash anything can be done. Youd be paying install so most shops charge $70-100 an hour for body work.
