Re: Just talked to my mechanic

do not go with SD or you'll regret it in 3 months...either go with MSD or an OE coil for best results

you need to tell that to SD and see if they'll pay you to be a spokes person lol since you're the first person i've heard of that hasn't had major issues yet. the last one i dealt with lasted all of 5 months..i'll stick to oem

afterall it doesn't take much to turn over our cars

Re: Just talked to my mechanic

Is this your first car? You do know its not really gonna make a difference to switch from oem in the long run.

Is that the only reason why you want to change your coil pack that having a rough start? If you really want it just go for it man! So you heard that most SD fails "but not mine" lol!!! So MSD is the way to go!

Normally I'm on board with OEM too. For some reason I really think the MSD's will be better. OEM's are pretty good though.

Re: Just talked to my mechanic

I have heard bad things about all of the aftermarket coils. MSD, Accel and Screamin Demon.

My coil died and I replaced it with a SD from AM. It's been 16 months and 11,000 miles of problem free driving so far. I sure hope quality control has improved since the bad reviews were written...

I have heard those things as well but in all honesty I haven't actually met someone who has had real problems... Hmm

I've heard too many problems with them. Might as well just stick to OEM

Ok cool. I want to try these, but I'm a little apprehensive due to Accel's history. You'd think they would be better than Motorcrafts, but it doesn't seem so.

*try MSD
