2000 V6 amp troubles

Previous to buying my amp, i installed an aftermarket stereo and 4 new 6x8 speakers. Now i purchased a 4 way alpine amp and i know it works because it gets power to it. I have it grounded, wired to the to positive battery terminal and the remote wire is connected correctly because the amp does start up when the headunit does. However when wiring the speakers to the appropriate terminals i get no sound.. the only way i have gotten sound is when i connect the factory speaker wiring through extra speaker wire to an input on the back labeled as the "speaker level input". My car does not have the Mach sound system. however i believe it does have a factory amp installed as seen in the picture. im not sure if i have to remove or somehow bypass this if it is a factory amp, if im doing something else wrong or if they make a harness for this speaker level input slot, or if i need to splice into the factory speaker wire for whatever reason.. hope someone can help.. let me know if you need more information..

Their is a blue remote wire with a white stripe on your harness.
It might seem like you dont need to do anything with it.

Hook it to the red wire and it will give the factory amp power through your new CD player.

Same problem I had.

Let me know if this works for ya.

It will power the Stock and the aftermarket. I had to hook up an amp.

The Amp for factory powered the front speakers, Aftermarket did rears and sub.

Re: 2000 V6 amp troubles

Then you are SOL. you will have to call somewhere and ask about it.
I was told by a friend I would need to run all new wires but I think thats a bunch of BS.
Which is why I went with the setup I did.

Then I got tired of it, Ripped it all out, Gutted the trunk while I was at it, And sold it all. Lol

Re: 2000 V6 amp troubles

i had the same problem. i just ended up rewiring all four speakers, you better off that way in the long run. If you think about it you'll pretty much be running two amps on your speakers if you don't. i wasn't able to turn my stereo like half way before it sounded like poop. i rewired all four of my speakers, and it sounds so much better. i also had a buzzing noise that went away after i rewired.
