Unhappy Tail light issue, not lighting up when hitting the brake

I have full LED taillights that have worked great for me, until the day of the AM car show. As I was sitting there with my car, a man came up and said he was behind me when we were coming to park, and he wanted to tell me my stop lights were out.

So they will glow red as they are supposed to when I turn my lights on, but they will not get brighter when I hit the brake. This is a major problem for my everyday driver, I'm not trying to get pulled over or get in an accident.

If anyone has had the same issue and knows what to do I would be dying to find out. I want this fixed as soon as possible and I wont be able to get to a shop for at least a couple days.

Also: Turn signals work, hazard lights work, reverse light works. Baffled.

Sounds promising. Like a connection that came loose somehow that doesn't register the brake pedal. Is this an easy repair I can do myself?

Not so sure about the break pedal because otherwise you won't be able to move the shifter (for automatic). <---I had that problem before.

Re: Tail light issue, not lighting up when hitting the brake

First test: Do the other brake lights work? If so, then your brake light switch is fine.
You need to test for power coming into the 3rd brake light next.
Do you own a power meter/tester?

Re: Tail light issue, not lighting up when hitting the brake

My led third brake light is new and not working atm because of my terrible job connecting it. So I currently have no lights go on when I hit the brake.

Is there a fuse that controls the light that comes on from braking only? I found the diagrams of the fuse box and I see "stop light" which could be it. I just really need to get this fixed by tomorrow at least.

Here it is. http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/2000_fuse.html

Edit: THIRD brake light is new, not the brake light.
