Why do our 3.8s wine?

It seams like some are worse then others but a lot have a small wine to them... Anyone no why? Some louder
On start up an accel..

Power steering pump. Both of mine were loud as crap...hated it. My friend's '96 was awful too; changing fluid helps a bit.

Mine had little noise, siphioned some out and put some lucus in. Made a big difference for me, no more noise.

swap ps fluid...about all you can do besides change the pump and pray the new one is good. our pumps are just noisy

PS pump whines if you turn it all the way to a lock (not good to do anyway). If you have a CAI it can whistle at the right rpms

If you don't want a whine change your steering rack. There a tiny hole in them that has air going in. Just make sure there is fluid and get a loud exhaust or nice sound system and the problem is gone

Mine power steering pump is crazy, only make noise on a very hot weather . I've been thinking to replace it maybe it solve my problem. Take note only on hot weather making noise LOL
