Re: exhaust set up

Pretty sure v6s came with single tip. I think 2 pipes into a y connector then one pipe til the back Bumber. Yours is dumped before axle so aftermarket.

You have an aftermarket x pipe and like the previous said its dumped cause it ends before the wheels. If you want a deeper sound you should have a shop switch the x pipe out with an h pipe

It's illegal in Nebraska too but we all do it anyway you just have to go to the back yard muffler shop lol. Without testing no one will ever no..

Re: exhaust set up

Removing cats on a V6 produces a "unique tone" out the tailpipes, a bit raspy (my opinion).

Re: exhaust set up

I suggest keeping one stock cat, or replace all 4 stock cats stock, and install a set of hi-flow cats. I just got emissions testing a week ago. The two hi-flow cats passed perfectly, very efficient readings from tailpipe sniffer.
Good luck, have fun with new exhaust.
If you loose low end torque with what ever you do, I also suggest a VAP lower intake spacer. It's cheap, easy to install and most noticeable mod on my car yet. Makes it peppy under low RPM's.

Re: exhaust set up

VAP Lower Intake Spacer goes directly underneath the upper intake manifold on "Singleport V6's". It lengthens the runners providing more air for combustion. Providing low end torque.
