Cam Install Price

So my mother won't let my stepdad and I change the cam on my car - even though he has done it before - so what can I expect to be the install price on it?
Anyone ever had this done?
Thanks,
Harrison

Re: Cam Install Price

I've learned that Google works really well for this type of question (Not trying to troll, but it probably is the best way to find the answer)

Not sure,,it is a little scary,,but with the tools to release the rockers,,its not to bad..Ive done alot of the 05 06 5.4 which are similiar to the 4.6,,but i work in fleet,,not sure what it would cost on the outside..Just dont let the chain slipp,,or youll have to remove the front cover..If you have the 5.0,,then i dont have a clue

Also when you compress the valve spring make sure you keep pushing on the valve ,,so the spring locks dont fall out and the valve dropps

Heads and intake aren't huge deal to her. I might have talked her into tonight. Cause we wanted a project car to build the engine on and she won't let us, she kinda saw my side but we will see I guess

Re: Cam Install Price

which is retared, explain this, that the only thing different between doing heads and intakes and heads intakes and cam is a few bolts... i mean you have to reset the valvetrain anyways for new heads... her logic makes no F*%$ing sense... just do it without her knowing

Lol, I know I was like mom it's the difference of a few bolts.
Her excuse was that he hasn't done it on a car with a computer, I told her the damn computer wasn't attached to the cam... Lol. She just doesn't think things thru

Just go ahead and do it. It's easier to ask for for forgiveness than permission
